Ask Husam

Ask Husam is an AI guide, not Husam speaking live. When you send a question, the website sends that question, up to six recent conversation messages and limited page/scenario context to its server. Approved public evidence and the conversation context may then be sent to OpenAI to produce or verify an answer. Some governed responses are handled without a provider call.

The visible conversation is held in page memory, not a website transcript database. Recent-message context is limited; reloading or leaving the page can lose the conversation. The API uses store:false. This is not a claim of zero provider retention: provider security, processing and retention controls remain subject to the provider’s terms and account configuration. Browser storage and handoffs

This implementation does not use localStorage for transcripts. Session storage remembers whether you have seen an introduction, opened the guide or received contextual cues; it contains no conversation text.

Only when you choose a Contact handoff does session storage hold a visible AI summary and source-page label. Contact lets you edit or remove the summary. It is excluded from an enquiry unless you separately approve its inclusion. The edited visible version is used. Removing it or completing an accepted enquiry clears that handoff. Browser session restoration may preserve session storage; you can also clear it in your browser.

Contact and direct messages

Contact submission is implemented but currently disabled pending provider certification. It does not report success or send an email while disabled. Failed attempts keep your entries in the open form; the site does not persist a form draft across navigation.

When enabled, the form sends your contact details, reason, visitor-written message, supplied facts, safe source context, consent choices and only an explicitly approved AI summary to a server endpoint. After validation and abuse checks, Zoho CPaaS processes the enquiry for delivery to the fixed recipient, Husam, at husameldin@athar.live. The sender is ATHAR Website <website@athar.live>; your validated name and email are used for Reply-To, not as the sender. No website CRM, marketing list, enquiry database or attachment upload is implemented. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Email opening/click tracking is disabled in the mail request. Provider certification and a live inbox-delivery test remain pending. Provider acceptance is not confirmation that the message reached the inbox.

Email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn links open independent services. Information you send there is handled through those services and the recipient’s account. Mailbox retention has not been assigned a fixed period in this notice.

Hosting, security and diagnostics

Netlify hosts the site and its server functions. Hosting and private-preview access services may process network information such as IP addresses and request metadata, and may use necessary access cookies. Their own policies apply; see Netlify’s privacy policy.

Ask diagnostics use an allowlist of request identifiers, timing, routing/phase, status/error categories, request size, history count and rate-limit decisions. They do not intentionally record message bodies, email addresses, API keys or hidden prompts. Transient abuse controls use limited request counters; Contact additionally keeps short-lived hashes for duplicate prevention. These are not a persistent transcript store. This notice does not invent a hosting/provider log-retention period.

Fonts, external services and cookies

Some pages request Google Fonts from Google’s font servers, which creates a network request to that provider. See Google’s privacy policy. Other images and scripts are served as local site assets. External reading links only navigate when selected.

No analytics, advertising pixel, marketing tracker or non-essential tracking cookie is installed by the website code. No consent banner has been added for tracking that is not present. Necessary private-preview access is distinct from advertising tracking.

Questions and choices

You can read the site without using Ask Husam or the Contact form. To ask about information you have sent, or request its review or deletion where applicable, contact husameldin@athar.live. Provider-held records and legal obligations may affect what can be removed. This notice must be reviewed when delivery, hosting, analytics or storage behavior changes.
